He was born in 1949, studied Chemistry (1968-1972) and Theology (1976-1980) at University in Athens.
He became priest in 1985 and afterwards promoted archimandrite.
He has been Secretary of the Holy Synod since 1994.
He was elected as Bishop of Arsinoe on April 24th, 1996
