Exegete, he is a Professor at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve. He is president of the Belgian Catholic Commission for Dialogue with Judaism and the spiritual assistant of the Community of Sant'Egidio in Antwerp. He is one of the founders of an inter religious dialogue project called “Trilog” in Antwerp, together with Rabbi Aharon Malinsky and Imam Jamal Maftouhi.
Currently he is the Episcopal Vicar for the Foreign Catholic Communities in Antwerp and for Ecumenical Dialogue, and the parish priest of San Carolus Borromeus Church.
