She joined Al-Jazeera in 1996 as a presenter of popular programmes. Previously, she worked at Swiss Radio in Bern and on Algerian television. In 2006, she was named one of the ‘Ten Most Influential Women in the Arab World’ by Forbes magazine. In 2015, she was awarded the title of ‘Inspirational Arab Journalist’ by CNN for the years 2012 and 2013.
